I build resilient, agentic systems that turn complex problems into compounding scale.

Hi, I’m Arvind Kannan — an engineer who treats every new domain, language, and stack as the next puzzle to solve. Over 11+ years across support, automation, integration, and complex solution delivery, I’ve learned to be language-agnostic, framework-fluid, and problem-first. I love jumping into uncharted territory, partnering with sharp teams, and shipping systems that quietly do the hard work at scale — increasingly powered by agentic and AI-native patterns.

01 — About

Curious by default. Calm under complexity.

I’m drawn to new challenges and unfamiliar stacks. Every domain — ERP, healthcare, integrations, internal platforms — has its own language and constraints, and I enjoy learning them quickly enough to ship something useful, then iterating with the team.

My approach is deliberately language-agnostic and tool-pragmatic. I choose the right runtime, framework, and pattern for the problem — not the other way around. Lately, that means a lot of agentic workflows, AI-augmented automation, and event-driven integration alongside the classics.

I care about reliability, clarity, and scale. The systems I’m most proud of are the ones you don’t notice — they just keep working as the business grows.

    Synapxe

Lead Engineer · Capability Enablement · Singapore

Playing a pivotal role in transforming healthcare operations through innovative engineering. Designing AI-infused platforms and automation pipelines that give project, application, and infrastructure teams a unified, proactive view of hundreds of healthcare applications across Singapore.

    Key work & impact
    • Spearheaded the design and development of OneClick Portal, an AI-infused Progressive Web Application (PWA) built from scratch to provide a unified operational view for project, application, and infrastructure teams supporting hundreds of healthcare applications across Singapore. The platform acts as a centralized operational hub while backend automation pipelines and AI-driven processes continuously analyse operational data, trigger workflows, and enable proactive healthcare IT operations.
    • Designed and architected end-to-end vulnerability data pipelines integrating CrowdStrike and multiple enterprise data sources, processing millions of records to deliver actionable insights to application and infrastructure teams. Built intelligent monitoring to proactively identify SLA risks, correlate vulnerabilities with servers and systems, and give management real-time visibility into the security posture of critical healthcare environments.
    • Leveraged CVE-based findings and Ansible-driven automation to build automated remediation workflows for patching and vulnerability management. Integrated AI-driven analysis to prioritize risks and automate repetitive remediation while maintaining a human-in-the-loop governance model through the PWA — enabling teams to review, approve, and monitor automated actions effectively.
    • Automated daily activities, enabling better resource allocation and reducing KTLO budget errors.
    • Built an inventory module for the Infra team, simplifying server tracking and reducing turnaround times.
    • Leveraged Gen-AI models for advanced data insights, improving understanding and accuracy in data management.

    Ramco Systems

    Lead Developer

Innovation · Platform · Product Engineering · Chennai → Singapore

Identified and championed emerging technologies across the organization — from ideation and prototyping to client adoption — while leading platform-level builds that scaled core Ramco products.

    Key work & impact
    • Responsible for identifying new and emerging technologies, from ideation to prototyping and adoption, working closely with business units and clients.
    • Added a Biometric Fingerprint module to the existing facial based system to enable multi-way authentication of a person's identity.
    • Scaled up the Facial Recognition Attendance & Access Control system to support high transactional rates during peak times, enabling clients to handle 60% more throughput.
    • Built a Rule-Engine Designer React component that can be embedded into existing product screens, letting users and product owners configure rules visually via drag and drop.
    • Built a Formula Builder visual UI/UX designer as a React component embeddable into existing UIs for end users to configure formulas without code.
    • Designed and developed an Actionable Mail Framework (OAM/AMP card based) enabling transactions to be processed directly via email clicks.
    • Built in-house models to enrich the organization's innovations roadmap.
    • Drove ideation of a co-existence strategy for modernizing the existing low-code / no-code platform to adopt modern architecture.
    • Built a low-code tool to design conversational bot flows for business users with zero coding knowledge, boosting adoption of the in-house bot framework.
    • Conceptualized a Low-Code No-Code platform designer for modernizing the legacy Ramco development platform.
    • Implemented facial-based ARS / Access Control for 4 top-named organizations as part of TNA system implementation.
    • Led a team building a live agent chat platform using open source libraries.
    • Revamped existing build stages by introducing an automated pipeline — docker image and standard artefact builds — eliminating manual intervention and improving build quality.

    Ramco Systems

    Senior Developer

    Product Engineering · Integrations · AI/Vision · Chennai

Architected and shipped standalone systems and integrations on top of Ramco's ERP — including facial-recognition attendance, pandemic control, and end-to-end ERP ↔ CRM integration for enterprise clients.

    Key work & impact
    • Co-developed an attendance system using facial recognition (frictionless access control) — RamcoGEEKK — integrated with Ramco HRMS, including geo-fencing, QR-code and voice fallbacks for regions where facial is not legally allowed.
    • Developed a pandemic control system integrating the facial attendance system with edge IoT devices and policy-based restriction control.
    • Architected and developed a standalone portal system integrating with the existing ERP, enabling clients to scale usage by up to 40% over legacy systems.
    • Contributed to the Bots Framework development.
    • Integrated and fully automated Ramco ERP modules with Cogent's Synergy CRM for Hitachi Payment Services as part of supply-chain automation — drastically reducing turnaround time for maintenance activities.
    • Built prototypes for OCR and image recognition.
